This collection started with one thing I really wanted to make 🥹something soft, puffy and lovely enough to make you happy every time you use it.

So I made three different scrunchies and one very plump little floral pouch:

🎀 30 Momme Silk Puffy Bow Scrunchies

I made my puffy silk bow in two different sizes.

The Large Bow is the statement one.

It’s big, very puffy and honestly doesn’t need much styling at all. I love putting my hair into a simple ponytail or bun and adding this on top 🎊 suddenly the whole hairstyle looks much more special.

I would wear the large one for a date, dinner, holiday, party, vacation, photos, or anytime I want the bow to be part of my outfit.

The Small Bow is the one I would reach for more casually.

It still has the same soft, puffy shape, but it’s much easier to wear with everyday outfits, for work, school, coffee, shopping, brunch, or just tying your hair up during the day.

Both sizes are handmade using 30 momme heavyweight silk.

I specifically chose a heavier silk because I wanted the bows to look really full and puffy rather than thin and flat. It gives them that lovely pillowy shape while still keeping the smooth touch and natural glow of real silk.

And silk isn’t only something I chose because it looks beautiful.

The naturally smooth surface of silk creates less friction against the hair than many rougher fabrics, so it’s a lovely option when you want something gentler for tying your hair.

I use silk scrunchies for all kinds of little everyday moments:

I work with top-tier silk suppliers just to find this unique, luxurious 30 momme silk. I decided against cheaper 19 or 22 momme options because they're just a bit too thin and lack structure. Even among 30 momme silks, many lowerweight variations still can't deliver this same incredible feel♡

☁️ Silk Velvet Puffy Scrunchie

This is probably the softest one in the whole Mallow Daydream collection.

I wanted it to look almost like a tiny puff sitting around your hair, so I made it extra full and fluffy.

The velvet pile is 100% silk (excluding the base fabric).

It has that wonderfully soft, plush feeling when you touch it, and the surface catches the light in a really subtle way.

It’s especially pretty with autumn and winter outfits, sweaters and coats, but I honestly wouldn’t limit it to one season.

A low ponytail, messy bun, loose hair at home, getting ready in the morning — or just wearing it around your wrist — all work.

It’s one of those little things that feels nice even when you’re not really dressing up.

🌷 Hand-Quilted 100% Cotton Puffy Pouch

And then, of course, I needed somewhere to keep all these scrunchies. 😂

So I made this very plump little floral pouch.

For this one, I didn’t want to use a pretty cotton fabric on the outside and then switch to something cheaper on the inside.

Both the outer fabric and the lining are made from 100% cotton.

I love the natural, soft feeling of cotton, and I wanted the pouch to feel nice not only when you hold it, but also every time you unzip it and reach inside.

To get this puffy shape, I add the padding and quilt the fabric myself before sewing each pouch together.

So it’s not simply two pieces of fabric sewn into a makeup bag.

The quilting gives it that soft, slightly pillowy feeling I wanted — almost like a tiny cushion you can carry around with you.

And one of my favorite details is the zipper.

🎀 Custom YKK Bow Zipper

I had a custom YKK zipper with a tiny bow pull made especially for the pouch.

Because apparently even my zipper couldn’t just be a normal zipper. 😂

It’s such a tiny detail, but I love seeing the little bow every time I open the pouch.

Even the zipper had to be cute. 🎀
